Veronica R. Nicholson earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne and a Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University, graduating magna cum laude. She was a member of the Ohio Northern University Law Review, received the CALI award for the highest grade in Juvenile Law, made the Dean’s list several times, and served as a Constitutional Law Teaching Assistant.
During her time in law school, Veronica worked for a solo practitioner and clerked at a trial court, performing a variety of functions like legal research and writing and sitting in on exciting trials, both civil and criminal.
After law school, Veronica clerked for the Honorable Judge Thomas J. Felts of the Allen Circuit Court, where she presided over juvenile paternity and protective order proceedings as judge pro tempore, arbitrated family law disputes, reviewed petitions for expungement and specialized driving privileges, and officiated dozens of wedding ceremonies. Veronica then served in public defense and represented parents in Child in Need of Services and Termination of Parental Rights proceedings.
Veronica then practiced in Grant County, Indiana, representing clients in criminal matters and family law matters, including divorces, paternity disputes, modifications of custody, parenting time, and child support, and third party custody matters.
Veronica enjoys serving her clients and being an advocate for them in their time of need. She is admitted to the practice of law in the State of Indiana and the Northern District of Indiana.
